Watch the Super Bowl. Check.

Sweet I guess I can knock off one more thing on the To Do in USA. Watched the Super Bowl live on the internet.
I figure once you know the fundamentals you can roughly follow the game. One team tries to get the ball down to the other end, other team stops them by tackling. Sounds familiar except you  throw it forwards. And everytime they stop they have to start however many yards, or how ever many downs.
Of course I had no idea what was going on half the time. Like why did that Giants dude sit down on the final point? Was that just showmanship? And after they get a touchdown do they get to choose how many points for a kick? I started watching it at the start, took a break and when I came back I actually forgot the team’s colours, they are .. kind.. of similar. I guess I still have a while to go on my football education. The other thing I’m continually learning is how much a fool I can be. It’s not all bad, and it’s part of the reason why I write this blog. A year later I’ll look back on my posts and probably cringe. Did I really say that, did I really think that? Why didn’t someone stop me? But the nice part of that is that at least I know I’m growing and learning. And I don’t think I’d ever be wise enough, successful enough, whatever enough, to be satisfied with being the exact same person I was last year. Even if that were possible. Proverbs 28:26 says “Those who trust their own insight are foolish, but anyone who walks in wisdom is safe.” Which might be kind of counter-intuitive, but of course that would be counter-intuitive to your own insight, right?
